I'm a married mother of 2. I'm a nurse, but working in the hospital full time was soul destroying b/c I didn't have the time or energy for all my creative pursuits. I've done some seasonal and part time work over the years since I've had children. My passion in work is maternal-child healthcare. Maybe someday I'll be a Nurse-Midwife... if this author thing doesn't pan out. I have enough opinions and information concerning women's health issues, I may have to write a book about that someday too!
This is my first nanowrimo... fiction is a new ball of wax for me. I've only been paid for my writing once-- that was an article I had written and sent to a Christian magazine on a whim. I've had a articles put on various blogs and websites and another print magazine that I did for free.
Too many other things vie for my time-- and as much as I love to write-- I really need some outside motivation to get me going. I'm hoping that's what Nano will be for me.
