2011-2012 my first trek through the novel woods. I've gravitated more towards technical writing over the years because that coincided with my geekiness and helped pay the bills. I've occasionally written a short story here or there. Some were children's stories. Some were very "adult". None were meant for publication, just me spewing forth some stories from within. Like most nano-ites probably are, I've always been a voracious reader. We'll see if all those various experiences can come together to help me create this first novel.

I didn't finish that first novel by the end of Nano 2011, but I did finish it seven months later, and it's now published. What a thrill that was! Nano 2012 will be the impetus for me to move on to book number two!
