Author bio:

Hi! I'm Aurora (inorite?). I'm twenty. I have had an unforgivably long hiatus from writing. I've been writing stories as long as I can remember - starting with profoundly embarrassing illustrated tales of befriending a suspiciously elephantesque alien called Melvin - but kind of ground to a halt some time when I disappeared into some kind of internal gulf of misery a couple of years ago. Oops. But I think about it every day and I miss it like crazy so now I'm trying to claw my way back into the world of writing in time for NaNo 2012. And if that doesn't work, I shall try NaNo 2012 anyway because you just never know!

I'm not sure what there is to know about me. I'm at university, studying genetics, hoping that one day I'll be some kind of mad research scientist or maaayyyybe a genetic counsellor or speech therapist. I had a profoundly misguided and unsuccessful long distance relationship with a much older man, which screwed me up, as you might imagine. Also somewhat screwed up by a crazy friend who had me wrapped around her little finger whilst lying about everything on the List of Things People Just Shouldn't Lie About. And now in a ridiculous situation where me and my recently ex-boyfriend each have our bed half of the week.

I have pet rats (my three baby girls!). I hate cheese. I sometimes have a hard time convincing myself to go outside, but when I do I love the outdoors. I love weather. I love the sea. I wasn't scared of the dark as a child but I am now. Music saved my soul. So did a class full of special needs kids I worked with for a year - nothing ever looked the same after them. Biology is beautiful. People are incredible.

That is all for now. Thanks for listening.
