Well hello there!
My name's Riley, and I'm from an insignificant little town in West Michigan. I've always enjoyed writing, but I've never actually finished anything. Part of the reason I joined the NaNoWriMo website was so that when November came around I'd actually have something completed to call my own, even if no one else sees it but me. I love post-apocalyptic fiction - books, movies, games, anything really. I'm also an avid guitarist and have been playing for around five years now. A lot of my playing consists of improvising new material rather than actual songs, but I do know some classic and progressive rock, as well as early heavy metal.
The main problem I have when I write is that I cannot turn off the "editing" part of my brain. As a result, I never get very far. I hope that my time with this community will help me overcome that problem, and come November, I hope to be a "winner" of National Novel Writing Month. Can't wait to give and get advice from all of you, as well as chill and talk writing.
