I would be a geology major if I could, but I fail miserably at chemistry and physics and anything beyond basic calculus. I would be a religious studies or history major, but neither pays particularly well, and I figure I read enough I can supplement anyways. Thus, I am an (takes a deep breath) Environmental Economics and Policy major with a specialization in Environmental Studies who plans on adding a Geography minor after I see how I like it with a few elective courses. (-breathes again-) Phew. Anyways, I love Earth, and I always have and always will (This is how I got to Paganism; I'm a hippie, tree-loving "stoner (because of my vast collection of crystals and minerals)" to the core and since I could walk and talk and read and write (So like, since I was three; I twas an early reader and writer)), and my major, getting back on topic, will allow me to have a good balance of the political/economic side of environmental protection, and the scientific/real-world analysis side, from the perspective of the demography of people in relation to distribution of natural resources, and how the two interact.

If college was free, I'm pretty sure I'd be a college student for life. I wish I could major in seven or eight things, but of course, I'd be here for about 20 years at that rate. I love to learn.

I consume books. Fantasy, historical fiction, philosophy, essays and poetry, Civil War history, Native American history, Tudor England, Ancient Greece, and American pioneer accounts are all fascinations and obsessions of mine. Can you tell I'm a student of history at heart? I could live in MSU's library if I had no other life. Set me loose, give me a week to live there, and at the end of the week, you'll find me dancing through the moving stacks as free as a bird, reading excerpts from whatever book strikes my whimsy as I float down the aisles, singing some song, probably "So This is Love" from Cinderella, because let's face it... I adore libraries.
