Synopsis
When Myra Millar, a mechanic struggling to make ends meet, finds herself working on The Blitzer, a decades old ship, a patch work of new and old technology from across the system, she ends up getting dragged into a plot of intrasystem politics. Soon Myra finds the only people she can trust in the universe are the Blitzer's crew of 'hired hands', bounty hunters, and those society has forsaken.
Meanwhile a rich snob of a girl, Josephine Lund meets a boy whom she would follow to the ends of the universe, but not only is he not who he claims to be, neither is she as it turns out.
This is a story of what happens when a father loves his daughter and would stop at nothing to keep her alive, a story of civil war and of identity. A story of two young women coming of age to find they aren't at all who they thought they were.
