I am freelance writer who enjoys reading novels of various genres excluding horror, sketching character and setting concepts when not writing and listening to musical compositions from famous video games such as the Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts.
The first time I attempted Nanowrimo's challenge of reaching 50,000 words in a matter of 30 days was last year, but I fell short by about 8,000 words and did not win. The reason for that happening was because I encountered a major writing block and the novel's development was still in the process. However, I hope that sometime this year or next year, I am able to complete it. Right now Southern (the title of the novel I was writing) is being rewritten and is about 15,000 words in.
This year is my second time attempting the Nanowrimo challenge and I have myself a little more set in stone with the storyline of Monarchs. I'm not going to give too much away, but you can read a sample of it and the synopsis of what this novel is going to be about. As for the genre, I'm debating about what it should be considered, but I suppose the closer I get to reaching the 50,000 word mark, I might have an answer.
Until then, keep on writing and may you all be winners in this!
