When I was 4 years old, I got my first job. In modeling, natch. This career was short-lived, however, as it turns out I was not overly fond of standing still. I lasted one day and made $35, which was nothing to sneeze at in the 70's for a day's work, but not motivation enough to ever want to do it again.

I then turned my hand to fiction, and my first novel (a GRIPPING 5-page wry commentary on the social dynamics of the American family entitled, "The Two Flowers") was released to a very select audience and greeted with wildly enthusiastic critical acclaim. That same year, I also broke off my long-term relationship with the boy across the street, having been swept off my feet by a new boy who looked like a little prize-fighter, and whom I called "Mucho Macho Jason."

It is a bit daunting to realize that you may well have lived your most glamorous year long before kindergarten wrapped. *snort*

As for now, I am happily ensconced in a very scientific profession, despite my creative tendencies. I also happen to be happily married to a charming fellow known as Superhusband. And I've been completely swept up by a story in my head once before, which resulted in my first novel "The Edge of Memory" which sadly died on submission through no fault of my fabulous agent at the time.

A new story is now filling up all the available space in my head and is layering up nicely so far. And so it begins again. =)
