Author bio:
I was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. It is on the north coast of the island, so I am in love with the sea. I left the island at age 20 and went to live in N.Y.C.--The Bronx. I met my husband there and together we raised three boys. I have three grandchildren.
I taught at the NYC Board of Ed--High School English and Spanish. I also taught Freshmen Composition (Eng. 101) at Lehman College in The Bronx as an adjunct. I am very proud of this because English is my second language and I was the only Hispanic at the English Dept.
I believe my forte in terms of genre is the essay form, although I write mostly poetry lately. I would have never considered the novel because I think I don't have the patience or skills for such a long work, had it not been for the email I received via Wordpress. I decided to give it a try.
