Author bio:

Hey, I'm Immortal x Snow. I don't do much - other than writing; doing Science Olympiad, Robotics, Scholars Bowl, and homework; reading; and generally being your not-so-stereotypical authoress. Oh, I like to sleep a lot, too.

Novels I've written for NaNoWriMo:

NaNo 2009: When God Wishes on a Shooting Star, an Angel is Born. This novel details the aftermath of a dual suicide. Lilium finds herself in a coma in Heaven, destined to spend 15 years in an imaginary totalitarian world known as "The Society." Her companion, Naomi, has to watch her suffer, since she is only an illusion in Lilium's hallucinations. But this is not the remainder of their suffering, for an even worse punishment for their sins awaits... living immortally without the other until the end of time.

But because an angel is born when God wishes on a shooting star, the two girls will always watch the stars to remember each other... if even that is allowed.

(Oops. I just gave away the whole plot. I love this baby too much not to, though.)

NaNo 2010: Of the Ice and Shadow. First book in the Shadow Republic Chronicles series. A novel about an alternative solution to a futuristic energy crisis: using human shadows, which are a part of a person's soul. The main problem? Removing the supernatural part of one's shadow kills him\her. Two groups have arisen to deal with this issue: the Shadow Republic and the Advanced Energy Union (for lack of a better name). Because of the bitterness regarding this debate, the two organizations are fighting an underground war. Three girls attending Trine Academy, a boarding school in Quebec City, find themselves pulled into this war in a very personal way. Marina Taylour remains cynical and depressed after the death of her mother, who watches and plots from Purgatory. Tessara Wilson fights to balance the problems in her home and love lives, only to find them inevitably intertwined with the Shadow Republic. And Gigi Laurent, a French girl, just wants to discover the world of Canada and do the right thing - as long as it doesn't require too much work from her.

But the world has a time limit on everything, and this war is no exception.

NaNo 2011: The Chimera. They say your memories can spirit you away. Memory lane is a nice place to visit, but what if you wanted to live there forever...?

Anna Cooper is a young Canadian-Norwegian who has her life planned out perfectly. She's going to McGill University to study music and history; then, she'll marry her longtime boyfriend and live a picturesque life straight from Hollywood. When her parents announce they will be moving to Norway, however, Anna is unable to cope with her new circumstances. Lost and frightened, she turns to her memories to support her, until she finds herself suddenly in the Realm of Spirits, the home of all those who dwell in a land of happy times past. Under the guidance of mourning mother Evangeline, who sees her as a daughter, and searching psychologist Charles, who tries to help Anna overcome her emotional troubles, Anna must find a way to return home. But what if nothing is real after all? What if there is no such thing as an escape from escapism?

And what if Anna doesn't want to leave at all...?
