I joined NaNo for November of 2010 and made a horrible showing, but I'm committed to excellence this year! I'm a Music Performance major at college, but I'll be changing my major this year I think. Ummm yeah having a hard time really thinking of stuff to put in here. I took two years off after high school so even though I'm 20 I'm going to repeat my first semester of college this fall and I've just been working full time in the meantime to pay the bills. I was into graffiti for a couple months but it didn't really hold my interest. Lately I've been reading a lot of Taoist stuff (Tao Te Ching, Tao of Pooh, The Way of the Tao, Ishmael, Henry David Thoreau etc) and the more I read the more I'm liking it.
I used to be really into writing but in the past two years I've spent away from school I haven't been able to put much time into it. When I joined last year I was hoping NaNo would pull me back into writing but instead Life pulled me away from NaNo, but this year I've convinced my roommate to join NaNo as well and I'm really looking forward to winning!
If anyone wants a writing buddy to talk about their novel, read and offer criticism/edits, bounce ideas off of, be competitive with or offer moral support send me a PM! I used to be a very big stickler for grammar and very blunt with criticism so if that's your cup of tea I'm *very* good at it but I'm much more laid back now and can offer whichever kind of help or criticism helps you as an author.
