Synopsis
a collection of alternative fairy tales, including--
--1950's Cindy-Ella, who runs into a goblin one night coming back from the ball in her stepmother's pink cadillac, and realizes there may be more to life than the Prince, even if he is one cool cat.
--More modern Zel, dealing with Mother's attempt at taking over the kingdom, AGAIN, *cue heavy sigh and eyeroll* and would sweet Mr Stilzskine just propose already? HONESTLY, they've been secretly in love for ages, and Zel can't wait to have the twins call him 'Grampa' .
Excerpt
"The Prince told me that when his Mother found the dwarfs in the forest, they would only take her in if she *cleaned* for them!"
The Goblin raised an eyebrow. "And?"
"Well, just imagine!" Cindy threw her hands up in shock, nearly swiping her face with the tube of lipstick. "An unmarried, defenseless girl, cleaning seven men's unmentionables every night!"
"Quelle horreur," he said dryly.
