Synopsis

Brady Townsend is a young man on his last chance. After being abandoned by his parents to be raised by his Aunt Olivier, and having to leave behind his family of friends, Brady turned to the streets for salvation. He got caught up with the wrong people and has been sent to juvie one too many times. Until now they granted Olivier charge of him, but after the death of one of his mates the judge has decided to send him to Gaeta Dé.

Gaeta Dé is a ranch located in the middle of nowhere with the goal of rehabilitating uncontrollable cases like Brady. There he will meet the bullheaded owner, Leanna Dwynn-McKenna, and her triage of help including a lonely nun, an idiotic nephew and his crazy horse, a teacher with a lost brother and her niece, and an old woman with a tongue of thorns. Will they be able to direct him back onto the right path?

“Ahhh, did he just go down? I didn’t see him.” She mused, “Oh well, whatever. You’re getting a classmate on Friday. Be nice, kay doll?”

Kaext smiled a little wider, eyes sparkling with mischief at the news. “When am I ever not nice?” He purred, hand already rubbing themselves together in an evil plot scheme manner. His guardian snickered as she stood and tapped the cigar into the ashtray lightly.

“Gee, I can’t recall.” The warning in her voice was clear as day despite the light and airy way she said it. Leaning over his chair, one hand on the back, she added softly, “And stop goin’ after the straight ones, mmm?”

The teen sighed and rolled his eyes, glancing up at Leanna as he pouted playfully. His grin couldn’t help but lie precariously just beneath the surface as he said, ”But they’re so much more fun to break.” Leanna shook her head, grinning at him.

“I thought you didn’t want to ‘break’ Dura.” She replied as she removed herself from the library. Kaext shrugged and returned to reading the book, a soft “I don’t” rolling of his lips as he turned yet another page.
