Author bio:

I've always written, first for fun, then for work, and now I'm doing it for fun again. 2012 was my third NaNoWriMo, and my third win. I've published poetry, essays, technical papers, etc. for a long time. Doing fiction is rather new. I published my first book this year, an illustrated fable about relationships and overcoming loneliness -- The Comet. (Did I mention I'm also an artist?) I blog ( http://brws.com/wordpress/ ), occasionally tweet (@BetsyARiley), author a number of websites, and am active on several forums (as "justBetsy"). I belong to the Maryland Writers Association (the new Carroll County Chapter) and the Eldersburg critique group. I enjoy wiritng flash fiction short stories and regularly participate in the Aspiring Writers contests on LinkedIn. Write on!

p.s. In my day job I work with the smartest scientists and fastest supercomputers in the world--we really ARE making the world a better place through research.
