Kabuto
Synopsis
It starts off innocently enough. First of all Rosie finds it in her book. Then in her locker. When she sees it carved into her desk she starts to think it someone is playing a sick joke. Soon the message is everywhere, haunting Rosie wherever she goes. Three little words.
'I'm not dead.'
But who's writing them?
Excerpt
“Now do you see why I have to find out about Tom?” Still looking like she might throw up, Katie nodded. When she spoke her voice was almost inaudible.
“Yes. But I’m sorry. I can’t tell you anything.” She was starting to back away, much to Rosie’s alarm. Stepping forward, she frowned.
“What do you mean? I need you!”
“I’m sorry!” Suddenly she spun round completely, breaking into a run. Rosie watched in disbelief as she disappeared into the fog, the sound of her footsteps fading to a dismal echo. She was gone, just like that. Katie had left her. She wasn’t going to help.
Rosie was stunned. What was she supposed to do now?
