Synopsis
An assassin lurks within the boundaries of Bernicia. She always knows what's going on, everyone sees what she does, but no one ever sees her. The assassin has never been successfully captured. It's not until Queen Arabella is assassinated that the kingdom has finally had enough. She made one wrong step, was arrest and sent strait to the gallows. But still she finds a way to escape her dark fate. How can she be so good at what she does? Is there a reason for doing this? What will become of Bernicia with this assassin watching every move it makes?

She strode boldly up the stairs knowing that she was walking into her death. The wood beneath her boots creaked loudly. The noose hung lone among the hundreds of people ready to see the deserving criminal get what she so gratefully deserved. Her long black cape blew around her thin body. Her hood blackened her face but everyone could tell she was not afraid.
