Okie dokie, five years participating and two consecutive years of wins under my belt and I'm going for the big 0-3.

The About Me stuff is a little boring, is it not? So here's the real story:

My name is Kelly, I'm a single white female living in Northern California and I run a business out of my home that I share with 3 dogs. I've been an entrepreneur for years and working on my business full time for about 16 months. My dogs are named after dead presidents: Jackson, Nixon, Wilson and are generally considered lazy brats.

I write fiction because my brain will not shut up. Ideas come to me all the time and I can't not write them. It's what I think about when I can't sleep, when I'm driving and when I'm supposed to be working but want a distraction. Once I get a good read on a character I can't stop playing with their mind, mood, actions, inactions, thoughts, feelings and destructive tendencies. It's fun.

What else...

Oh, this month I'll be traveling to the East Coast and maybe *just maybe* be able to hit up a write in from another state! I love to travel but it does create some complications for the writing. As long as I have my laptop or ipad handy I'll be writing.

Also, I love writing buddies so add me and we'll keep in touch at least one month a year. Also looking for a writing accountability partner - someone I can check in with every few days. If you want to virtually kick someone's ass look no further! I already work with an accountability partner in my business and our daily calls keep me really focused. It really does not matter where you live if you have Skype or IM because I'm up at all hours of the night.

p.s. I just bought the Anatomy of Evil and can I love it any more? such a resource and I'm not even suffering from debilitating nightmares because of the evilness described. Win. Win.

5,000 words: the free water massage offered by my chiropractor and using the coupon for a free pizza - WON! Redeeming on Nov 4th for a Friday night pizza write in :)

10,000 words: ipod shuffle for the gym (these are like $30 on Amazon, you should make this a goal if you like music)

20,000 words: break open the chocolate covered espresso beans from Trader Joe's

30,000 words: a massage

40,000 words: I get to buy two custom print mats for the photos I printed

50,000 words: NaNoWriMo sweater from the store
