Author bio:
I live in rural Wisconsin with my husband and two daughters. My mom taught me to read when I was three years old by writing down words I'd learned on index cards, and I've been stringing words together (literally, at first) ever since. I've been published a few times: Nightengale (poetry) in Lighted Corners, Trash (short story) in The Wall, and Scenes from the Broken Road (creative non-fiction) in A Cup of Comfort for Adoptive Families. Most of my writing over the past several years has been in the form of journalling and blogging. I blog about writing, adoption, foster care, fitness, and anything else that strikes my fancy. I've flirted with NaNoWriMo several times in the past, but this time, I'm willing and able to make a commitment.
