I grew up in the small sleepy town of Malvern, Worcestershire. No wait, that's not right. There was definitely some living there but very little growing up. After many a year under the tyrannical boot of my overbearing, overprotective, stubborn-like-a-mule-on-steroids mother I escaped to the University of Bath.

At university, I found my degree uninspiring (I have now come to the conclusion that all economics is BS and has no positive effect on society). That being said, I wasn't about to pack it in so I decided to coast instead. During my 4 years in Bath (well, one was a placement year in Bristol - best city ever!) I made friends for life, scraped a bachelors degree, played more video games than I really should have done and discovered the joys of fiction writing.

With my head held high after I graduated having barely worked for my degree at all, I did what most graduates do in a recession climate and got a temp job. Unfortunately, due to a certain lack of funds I found no choice but to move back in with the mother mentioned in paragraph 1. I found solace in the throws of NaNoWriMo in 2008 and have looked forward to each November more than the last ever since.

I was near breaking point again when I managed to get a permanent job with the company I was temping for and now I have moved in with my fiancee, our cat and any other cat he feels like letting through the flap on that particular day.
