Author bio:
Despite the fact that I've known about it for years, and despite the fact that it's something I've always wanted to do, this is my first year participating in NaNoWriMo -- and that's if I can even convince myself to start.
As a kid, I wrote almost constantly, and whenever I wasn't writing, I was reading. But growing up (and all the challenges that have come with it) has made it difficult to keep writing when all I wanted to do was hang out with my friends and all I had to do was my towering pile of school work and all I ended up doing was curling up in my bed, wishing I had the strength to do any of those things.
But not this year. This year I will push past it and pour my blood, sweat and tears all over my word processor. I will prove to my friends (who have supported me through everything that's happened), to my family (who have supported me even more), and most importantly, to myself that there is nothing that can stop me.
And I promise that that is NOT the plot to my novel. :)
