Synopsis
The Next Wish
Molly is 17 and feeling great. She has a cool internship this summer that should lead to the externship of her dreams-- in Germany! She has a hot boyfriend, Matty, and a best friend, Claire, and things couldn't be more perfect. When she comes to the fountain that she's passed almost daily since she was a kid, she stops with the coin in her hand and honestly can't think of any wish she needs, so she wishes for the next person who stops at the fountains wish to come true. This triggers a series of events that eventually come back to bite Molly.
Technically, the first couple thousand words are of The Next Wish. But I wasn't feeling it, you know? And in the month of November, there's really no time to coax a story out. I switched gears, started writing cold about a couple that inherits a city block worth of buildings-- old, deserted, decrepit, and surely with some deep dark secrets! And now I'm cruising. I have no idea where it's going, but I can tell you, at least it's going.
