Author bio:

L's life was pretty unremarkable. She was born, she grew, she got older. At age 5, she discovered Harry Potter, and was enthralled for life-her first and eternal fandom, and what she considers to be her home. She is a proud Gryffindor to this day, and does her utmost to live up to the House slogan: "Gryffindor, Where dwell the brave at heart. Their daring, nerve, and chivalry set Gryffindors apart."

Then at age 11 she discovered 2 things:
1.) The world of anime and manga
and
2.) The Gothic subculture.

Ever since then, she's had a fondness for dressing in a manner worthy of a Tim Burton movie. She's not always able to, as money constraints on a teenager are annoying, but she loves the style nonetheless and wishes corsets, stockings, and petticoats were more common-or at least acceptable in the professional world.

The more major change, however, is the birth of a huge fangirl. L was pulled into obsessing by the world of manga and anime with Rurouni Kenshin and Bleach, both of which she still appreciates(even if she does think Bleach has gotten far too long and repetitive). Other notable manga/anime loves of hers include Black Butler, Ouran High School Host Club, and Soul Eater. When time and money permit, L loves to cosplay.

She retains that old fondness for the genre; however, recently her passion has left for greener pastures, namely, a new and passionate love for all things Sherlock Holmes precipitated by the BBC incarnation. Unfortunately, she's now also discovered the world of shipping. Ask her about her OTP. I dare you.

Ironically, L's Meyers-Briggs type, INTP, correlates with Sherlock, and somehow she has a naturally very similar personality to the great reasoner. She uses this to her advantage in excessive amounts of roleplaying, one of her favorite hobbies.

L's life goals currently involve majoring in Biochemistry at Tulane University, New Orleans, and becoming a forensic biologist.

Her interest in prose has been more recent, starting around 6th grade(she is currently in the 12th), when her teacher actively encouraged her to write creatively after a certain short story. Since then, she has been writing in various genres(realistic, sci-fi, romantic) and has found her niche in fantasy-and fanfiction, naturally.

L's other interests include a special love for the Victorian era, feudal-era Japan, sarcasm, anything morbid(she is simply obsessed with death and dying ; L also has a notable penchant for black humour in which no subject is too somber to crack a witticism about, including necrotizing fasciitis. She likes to think of it as a virtue, although really she just comes off as a creepy nutter), drawing, politics, and crime. She is usually to be found in a pair of Skullcandy headphones, rocking out to something strange-her musical taste is rather eclectic-either reading, writing, or daydreaming her life away.

There are two rules for getting along well with L: 1.) Don't be stupid. L has a passionate dislike of stupidity and treats anything idiotic in a non-humorous way as a personal insult directed at her. 2.) Don't bring up the Tw!l!ght "saga" in her presence. See rule 1 for the reason thereof, then visit reasoningwithvampires.tumblr.com(not owned by L) for evidence.

"I've gathered the necessary data. Let's begin the experiment." -Franken Stein
"Why would I go looking for someone who wants to kill me?" -Harry Potter
"Give five signs that identify the werewolf. He's sitting in my chair. He's wearing my clothes. His name is Remus Lupin..." -Remus Lupin(surprise!)
"Dear God. What must it be like in your funny little brains? It must be so boring." -Sherlock Holmes (BBC incarnation)
"This is your heart, and you should never let it rule your head." -Sherlock Holmes (BBC)
