Author bio:
Vanessa is 16, and lives in Connecticut and her imagination. She started participating in NaNoWriMo in 2009, at which point she penned a spectacularly horrendous novel with the irrelevant title “Dancing in the Night.” She achieved her second NaNo victory in 2010, with the moderately better (but still irrelevantly titled) “Yesterday’s Tomorrow.” Her writing has been published in a for charity anthology, as well as on an activism blog.
Vanessa is the co-founder of REAL Theatre, a family business that keeps her very busy teaching 6-19 year olds.
Vanessa enjoys knitting, pottery, audio books, friends, and not going to school. She is passionate about activism, dried apples, and Cape Cod potato chips, and she has a newfound obsession with solving her Rubik’s cube. She can often be heard shouting “I WILL NOT BE VANQUISHED, DAMN YOU,” and intends to use that very same slogan as her battle cry for reaching 80,000 words during this year’s NaNoWriMo.
