Author bio:

Colour Sergeant Diarmad Malcolmson, aka "Mal", is the alter ego of *me* (name withheld), a full-time Kinesiology student at the University of Louisiana in Monroe (who doesn't give a rat's rear end about intercollegiate sports, so no booing the Warhawk), and assistant coach for the West Ouachita Warriors wrestling team in West Monroe. During our "spare time" we like to read, write, and study.
Mal finished the 2011 NaNoWriMo challenge with over 54,000 words, found himself revamping all of his work by mid-January, then got tired of working on the same story all the time (his ADD is worse than mine) and started reading the series "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" by Rick Riordan. These books reignited our interest in classical mythology and ancient history, thus giving rise to his current work-in-progress: A novel setting loosely based on the ancient Mediterranean, featuring the--oops. He says I'm not supposed to say anything about that. My bad!
My college studies during the week will limit much of Mal's word-production to Friday evenings and Saturdays, but I'll try to have him in the chat-room those days to keep the word-wars going.
Good luck all, and God save my sanity (too late for the second, but never-mind)!
