Michael Hanley was born in Liverpool in 1964 and has lived in the West Midlands since 1983. He wrote extensively for Birmingham listings magazine ‘What’s On’ between 1989 and 1996 and since then has turned his hand to writing essays, poetry, a screenplay and short stories.
