- Harry Potter, Tess Gerritsen, Patricia Cornwell, Sarah Waters. I like crime thrillers as well as good and well structured horror and fantasy plots. I enjoy stories with a deeper and more sinister background like the Dan Brown books featuring Robert Langdon in The Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons and The Lost Symbol.

Hi, my name is Christel (though I prefer Chris). I am 27 and live in some godforsaken village in the West Midlands in the UK. I was born and raised in Holland but moved to the UK 3,5 years ago.
I have been writing since the tender age of 8 and my writing is growing as I get older. I started with short stories and eventually fanfiction before moving on to some novel attempts when I was 15ish. I still have those very stories and they make me smile when I read them. Last year's NaNo was a success though I hated the eventual product. I still write a lot of fanfiction for a variety of fandoms.
I am seriously attached to my laptop every day to do some form of writing. If I didn't I would be in a padded cell somewhere, heavily sedated and mumbling to myself.
