Just found out my contract at my job will not be renewed, so just like the last time I attempted a nano, I'm looking for work too. I opt to do Nanolite (10,000 words in one month) because frankly, I'M WORKING.
At the moment I work in a kidney research lab, but who the hell knows what I'll be doing next year. Hopefully it won't be collecting unemployment. I also knit and crochet, and dabble in writing and try not to suffer delusions of publishability unlike some people I know. (No, I won't name names).
Doubtful I will win in one month, but knowing my tendency toward verbosity, my 'short story' could well end up 50,000 words.
