Author bio:

I have always loved writing. I took every English and writing class I could get my hands on in high school, and joined the creative writing club. College kinda killed me though-- too many papers, and nothing creative. When I was pregnant with my first child, I took up writing fanfiction and spent 2 or so years doing that really actively. I took a 2 year break from writing, but I've been back at it since early 2011 and LOVING it!

I managed to write my first novel around major cancer surgery. I still won! A few months of chemo, and a second surgery, and I'm *done* treament. Hopefully this will be the end of it. Unfortunately, I have a genetic mutation that can and probably will cause many more cancers in my future. Some days I think I'll give up, but then I remember I'm a crazy competitive girl. I mean, I wrote a 51k novel in 19 days and had my entire colon removed in the middle of that-- I'm a fighter!!

I'm still working on rewriting and revising my Nov '11 novel, but it's getting good. I'm taking a break for a new novel for NaNo, but then it'll be back to revisions until it's ready for an agent's eyes.
