Although I am a successful grant writer and evaluator in school improvement, the focus of both my Masters and PhD was in adolescent development. I grew up with one parent who read nothing but military, spy, and law fiction and another parent who read nothing but romance. I just read everything I could get my hands on. Much like my heroine Calliope, I am a sarcastic tomboy with an unrealistic view of 21st century romance, a desire to save the world with military cunning, and write about it.
