Synopsis
An incurable and deadly plague breaks out in the early 21st century and ravages the entire world, wiping out almost 50% of the population.
The story follows 3 sets of events that are connected:
The immediate aftermath of the outbreak: follows a couple who were engaged but became separated once the plague broke out.
100 years later: The plague is still affecting the world. This build up to a war in which the remaining people divide into factions and fight over an apparent 'cure'.
200 years later: The war is over and the world has truly been brought to its knees. The few grungy survivors attempt to piece together bits of humanity's history.
