Hi,
This is my first November. I am excited to spur myself to write by being part of this challenge and part of a writing community. I have always enjoyed writing poetry over the years and have started a few would be books, however, I let life take over.
I'm a working mom of three. One daughter 14, is still at home. The others are in the Coast Guard and grown. I have one grandchild. He is 4 and I get him on weekends. My job is M-F with 10 to 12 hr. days. My parents are in neighboring towns so we get together frequently for meals and holidays. I guess you could say my house is the hub of my immediate and extended family. I love it, because I know we only get one chance at this life and family is important.
As much as I enjoy my family I have had a pull to write for the last few years and feel it is time to honor the gift given to me. I say gift because when I write, it feels right and like cooking and art, it bubbles inside me even when I'm busy with day to day tasks.
