Some Random Facts About MeFav colour: BlueFav time of Day: Evening (also when I'm most active)Fav food: Macaroni & CheeseFav Non-Alcoholic Drink: Coke or Tonic WaterFav Alcoholic Drink: I don't drink much, usually let my friends choose the beverage of choiceBest Social Attribute: Public speaking and the ability to explain things clearly (at least I hope that's the case) and being a good listenerWorst Social Attribute: My over-zealous thirst for knowledge which sometimes makes me come across as 'hung up' on just one particular issue, also thinking too much all the time which often makes me seem aloof or 'not with it'Ideal Job: Public speaker or interpreter or working in the airline or telecoms industryStar Sign: Libra Fav season: Summer definitely, but clear, crispy winter mornings are also greatFav transport: Aircraft (not that I fly that often)Pet Peeves: Slow walking people (although sometimes I'm one of them), people stating the blatently obvious, tardyness (although I freely admit I'm not the world's most punctual person), people beating about the bush (be frank, guys, it/I won't kill you), people standing blocking the pavement, street or the aisles on a bus (even when there are free seats), repetitiveness, arrogance, rudeness (what's a please or thank you going to hurt?), oh, and after three months of interviewing god knows how many people, constant use of 'you know' 'like', etc in every sentence . I'm a graduated Computing Science student and recently finished my Masters as an MSc in Business, also at Aberdeen. I'm partially sighted, but I see this as a plus as in many ways I feel it gives me a more rounded view of the world (pun intended) and a greater appreciation of the good things in life. I'm also quite unique when it comes to points of view, and I think nothing of upsetting the preverbial apple cart.I like to think that I'm an approachable person and a good listener, and am dedicated to doing the best I can. Once I've put my mind to something, I'm committed to seeing it through to its completion, sometimes obsessively so which I suppose is both good and bad depending on how you look at it.I freely admit I'm not the world's best when it comes to socialising and meeting new people but given the chance I'd like to change that. I like to keep abreast of current affairs and am always up for a good debate or friendly arguement. What else, I'm nervous about automatic doors and absolutely terrified of dogs of all description. I'm definitely a "5 more minutes" person in the morning and I love my sleep. I'm one of those stoically independent people who find it difficult to ask for help and hate doing it in case it puts people out or inconveniences them in any way. And I'm definitely one of those people that have trouble putting emotions into words and prefer expressing myself by actions, the odd caress on the arm here or pat on the shoulder there. That's a brief glimpse at me, looking forward to chatting with you soon. Cheers and take care!
