First time nanowrimo for me this year, though I wish I'd have known about it sooner. One of my friends introduced me to it, if she reads this bio, thanks :-)

I don't know if I'll make it to the 50k words goal so that's not really what I'm after. My hopes are more based in the line of improving my writing and helping others in return.
The idea for my project originated years ago, where I tried to create a multiverse setting, so present day I have a well fleshed out environment for stories to play in.
I hope my project can eventually become part of a series of books (have about 4 books planned), narrating from the perspective of the last Immortal race.
Anyway, I'm supposed to tell more about me here, not about my project :p

I like reading and have done so extensively in many different genres and time periods. The first English novels (Jane Eyre, Middlemarch, Turn of the Screw), Traditional folklore and mythology (ghost stories, urban legends, fairy tales, legends), the great Russian novels (Tolstoj, Dostojevski,...), Science Fiction (Lem, Asimov,...), contemporary novels (genres: Scifi, fantasy, fairytale, alternate history, psychological,...) and more.
I also like to proofread for friends or help them out with their writings. People are always scared initially to show their writings to other people, claiming they suck, but I think if you don't let people help you with writing you won't get better. (Besides, I'm not the kind of person who breaks down texts for fun, I also try to motivate them, telling them they're doing a great job in this or that way.)

I've travelled a lot in life, I've seen most of Europe, rarely in a tourist's point of view. Been to the Caribbeans, northern Africa as well. Now I'm preparing a trip to the other side of the world (down under) to visit a friend there.

When I write I put up video game and movie osts, simply because I like music without singing over it when I write. Otherwise it would get me out of my concentration.
