HEY!!!!!

Welcome all!!

Third year doing NaNoWriMo, second as ML and still absolutely in Love with the experience. I wouldn't have known the great local writers I do or follow quite so many blogs if it wasn't for that tiny first snow flake of NaNoWriMo. My life has only improved since that fist time, and while I have delayed my original unrealistic trajectory for publication, I am still traveling on the path I want to be on. Being ML is my way of giving back to the community I have discovered. Honest to goodness if this where an award ceremony I would be blubbering on stage as I gush about NaNoWriMo.

To all of you out there who are looking to get involved, please do. One event can change you and if you have the courage to try it out and commit to it, you will absolutely astonish yourself with the results. I promise. And while you may not end of exactly where you thought you should, you will end up exactly where you need to.

To all returning participants WELCOME BACK!!! Addictive right? The one month whirlwind of writerly abandon. The living the breathing the intoxication of being one with your novel. It's zen. But it's also the crazy endorphin rush as you conquer your fear of heights and get on that roller coaster and your stomach plummets as you race down that first hill and through he loop de loop. Exhilarating.

Now this is supposed to be about me so this next part I will gush about me!

I have a love affair with exclamation marks!

I am a very happy bubbly person who also happens to be an introvert. I do well at being social with the write (I did that on purpose!) kind of people but I do need time to myself to recharge and relax.

I own two very adorable and slightly odorous Basset Hounds, named Rosco (male) and Rory (female). My boyfriend, who shall be referred to as Cowboy, and I make up songs all the time about them. Turns out we are not completely crazy. Their are others who sign songs about their animals too! Whoot! (for awhile I was scared I might be crazy. Going to have to work harder on that life goal.)

I have also recently taken up knitting again. I am no expert but I am back on the path to becoming a Knitter as opposed to just a knitter. The capital K is very important. It's like earning your Doctor but in knitting.

I primarily read YA right now. It's not that I don't still love my original roots of Fantasy, but on a time management scale I can read about 3 books to 1. Okay so you all saw through that excuse right? The truth is I love the raw emotions of YA, the coming of age and discovering who you are. The finding your place in, the world and the falling in love for the first time. The not quite being jaded and still wide eyed and wondering. Life is magic then. Their is also a tragicness to it all too. It has its own symmetry and poetry and I want to be a part of that motion.

I don't watch a lot of TV. BUT if I do I like me a good comedy. Big Bang, How I Met You're Mother, Dr. Who are my corner stone TV shows. I enjoy a few others too, but not in the my world will collapse without them kind of way.

I also have a thing for tea. Loose leaf tea. Bagged tea can only be consumed in an emergency where loose leaf is not available. I may even become enough of a tea snob one day to pay attention to water temperatures and steep time.

Last but not least, I like to work out. Okay so that's a lie. The liking to work out thing. But I know it's important to lead a healthy lifestyle so I do make a very honest endeavor to try. I have a gym membership at Goodlife and really enjoy their BodyFlow classes. I also endeavor to eat as healthy as possible, however will NEVER give up cheese. I would rather keep an extra five pounds of body fat than give up cheese.

So that's me. Their is more of course, but those are the major areas in my life at this time. Get to know me and I promise I will go into greater detail. I can talk for miles!!!

Have a great NaNoWriMo!!!
