Author bio:
2006: Cane and Able (Mystery and Suspense, derailed at 20K)
I made it about halfway through on the word count with this one and have basically never touched it again. I hope to get back to it someday and at least complete the first draft. I realize Able is spelled wrong if you're thinking about the story in the Bible but it's a play on words. If anyone ever reads it they'll understand.
2007: The Write Teacher (Mainstream Fiction) Winner!
Ah, yes, another play on words. This one is about a writing teacher who has an affair with a student. It was fun to write but not near as exciting as I thought it would be. Currently I am doing my first revision and it's going to take a while.
2008: Boys are Perverts (Satire, Humor, Parody) Winner!
Two middle school boys find out about sex and women through some crazy experiences. I did no planning for this one...I just typed whatever came to my head but some good stuff came out of it. I have not looked at it since this Nano ended and I'm unsure if I ever will.
2009: Current Events and the Sixth Grade Trifecta (Young Adult & Youth) Winner!
This is based on my experiences in 6th grade. I was the new kid and the target of a clique of mean girls. I am happy to say that this one has some potential and I look forward to revision.
2010: Rewind back to 2006 where I began a mystery called "Cane and Able" and due to a family emergency I was derailed at 20K. Before I begin a whole new story I really want to finish what I started four years ago. Adding another 50K to this will make it my longest novel yet!
