Well, at first, I tried to fit in and be like everybody else I knew. It wasn't until I was in ninth grade last year that I realized that everybody else I knew was FREAKING BORING. I did a lot of stuff most people might call insane, crazy, weird, stupid, etc., but I would call the stuff I did FUN. Sometimes, you need to stand out from the rest of the world. Sometimes you need to speak up for the kid in the corner everyone picks on. Sometimes you need to stop being the kid in the corner and step out of your comfort zone. Sometimes you need to dedicate a month to writing a 50,000 word novel. For me, writing is an escape from the real world. It gives me a chance to be who I want to be and do what I dream of doing. I can get back at all of those people who made fun of me for being different by naming somebody after them and having them get killed by a lion in chapter three. I can make the super gorgeous senior boy I have a crush on kiss me. I can be whoever the hell I want to. AND NOBODY CAN STOP ME. Writing is pretty magical in that way. You know what? Insanity is a lot more fun than one might think. Give it a try.
