I have been a writer as long as I can remember. I started with a story when I was in either first or second grade. The teacher apparently had told us that it had to be a true story. Guess I missed that part. I wrote a story from a point of view of a little girl locked in a closet while her parents went out. It was so believable that my parent's got called into the school psychiatrist's office to discuss this problem.
When I was in high school though, my parents started telling me that I would never make it as an author. They said I didn't have the talent. I ended up believing that for many years. After a while I started watching the TV show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It broke through the writer's block I'd had for so many years and about a year ago. I got really serious about writing a novel.
