Winner!
Age:
19
Location:
Quebec
Hobbies:
Theatre, reading, drawing... that's about it! I suppose I do enjoy swimming and the odd bike ride, and history fascinates me slightly (specifically art history and things that deal wth dictators). I love watching movies. I also enjoy baking and photography (I'm taking a class and I love it). Dancing and drinking (not necessarily in that order) is also one of my preffered ways to spend a night. :P
Favorite noveling music:
Depends on what I'm writing. Some of my favourites are Keane, Maroon 5, the Beatles, Switchfoot, Coldplay, Neon Trees... (I am a woman of diverse tastes)
Occupation:
Student at JAC / Camp Counsellor for autistic individuals
Favorite books or authors:
I inhale books. Naming everything would take weeks. For starters, though: C.S. Lewis, Jane Austen, Harper Lee, Madeleine L'Engle, William Shakespeare, Phillip Pullman, Sarah Dessen, Dave Duncan, Gail Carson Levine, George R. R. Martin, P.B. Kerr, Jerry Spinelli, Meg Cabot, Jodi Lynn Anderson, Cornelia Funke, Frances Hodgeson Burnett, Roddy Doyle, Avi, Tolkien, Stephen King, Jaclyn Moriarty, E. Lockheart, Brian Jaques, Robin McKinley, J.K. Rowling, Eoin Colfer, Marion Zimmer Bradley...

Author bio:

I spend most of my free time curled up with a novel (mostly teen lit and general fiction, but in the past two years or so I've been reading more sci-fi...I also read lots of kid's fiction, like "Rover saves Christmas". I know. I'm a weirdo), or playing solitaire while trying to write one... I'm getting pretty good at solitaire. :P
I've been writing since before my teen years. I think I attempted my first novel when I was nine (it was about magic necklaces, and I still have a copy). In the past few years, I've attempted many other novels (I have folders within folders of them. I organize things when I get bored of solitaire and still have no inspiration) and so far only one remains unabandoned. I'm putting it aside for a brief period of time to do NaNoWriMo. This is my first time, by the way. I'm quite excited.
Oh, one last thing: I adore writing with my best friend/partner in crime, lykaion. We give each other advice and kick each other's butts to get writerly things done. Naturally, we're in this together!

Good luck on your novel! I'm happy to help in whatever way I can, so feel free to message me whenever.
-Sewer Rat

(PS: About the name. I know- 'Sewer Rat'? No wonder it wasn't taken, right? Well, I picked it for a reason. Someday, when I'm famous and write lots of novels (hahaha), I will operate under the pen name Sue Errat, which was created in a flurry of inspiration after being nicknamed "Sewer Rat" by my English teacher. It seems to be my lucky pen name for finishing things.)
