I was born on the dusty plains of Montana, the oldest son of a man who had won a free trip to Vietnam care of the United States Army. By some miracle, he returned without a scratch, and I was joined by five other siblings. Eventually, I took up cross-country running where I chased antelope over prehistoric sea beds and climbed Beartooth mountains.
For some strange reason, I left for the University of Arizona where I roasted under the saguaros to obtain some useless degree. However, while there I met the two loves of my life: my ishshah, and storytelling. After graduation and a wedding, we moved back to Montana and had to take up retail jobs. After a year or two later, though, we were surprised with our firstborn, and I turned that useless degree into something to get me a job with a large aircraft manufacturing company in the Puget Sound region.
By day, I make sure the wings stay on those planes...but by night and on weekends, I don a chicken suit to fight crime! Okay...I don't do that. But I do like to write. So, I discovered NaNoWriMo and decided to take the plunge this year (2011).
