I've been writing stories for as long as I can remember! Or at least coming up with them. I can't tell you how many times "Finish a book this year" has been on my New Year Resolution...and failed. It turns out, as creative as they were, my ideas in 2nd grade were too simple or were done before in movies. (Ex: twin tigers separated? Two Brothers. Three witches getting into trouble and turning a boy into a black cat? Hocus Pocus. Wonderland actually being real? Book series Looking Glass Wars and also Disney's latest Alice in Wonderland movie. Someone being raised in the wild and later turning out to be a princess? I can't believe this, but Barbie in that Island Princess movie....Yeaaah you get the point.) So I've been hitting writer's block for a while, needing inspiration for a LONG time. Eventually I was both inspiration-dead and lazy. I wrote fanfiction once in a while as a practice, since I knew some movies well enough to write about them.
Anyway, enough rambling. All I should say is I'm glad to be part of something that can help me get writing again!
P.S. Yes I know I spelled "Scheherazade" from 1001 Arabian Nights wrong for my temporary pen name but it's a difficult name! :P I just wanted to make a reference to her, though, and also kind of encourage myself as if I had to continue the story or die.
