My forte really is in poetry, but I have always, always been a fan of storytelling. Novels are just a dream. You decide what happens, you have control. I love it. But it's hard to make it really be awesome unless you do your research and read up what other authors have written (and in all cases in which I've written some fairly good pieces, it was just after I finished reading several books). My style is probably highly variable, depending on what book I last read.
I'm hoping to have a blast this year, which is my first year in NaNoWriMo (though seriously, what's so national about this when it transcends continental borders?).
