Author bio:

This is my fifth year participating in NanoWrimo. I had a fail :( last year but my work is very crazy (best year of course was when I was unemployed!) I still have the crazy job but I am determined to make it through even though I have no idea yet what I might right. I'm an author without a genre, really...

Past Efforts:

2008 - "Untitled" I wrote a historical fiction about an English girl packed off to the Barbados. In retrospect, borrowed not a little from Gone With The Wind but great fun writing.

2009 - "Secret Pass" another historical fiction but this time set in Northern Nevada in the 1860s. This one deserves a good edit. Northern Nevada (especially around Elko), is one of my favorite places and this was my best work to date.

2010 - "Bright Light City" - this time I departed from historical fiction and tried to write a modern horror story set in Vegas. I did not enjoy writing this as much and it was a chore to finish. Not sure if there is a horror writer inside me but on re-read, I think I might like to give it another go.

2011- Started out as a dog story, decided I am too picky about animal stories in general and couldn't meet my own standards. Morphed into a modern day, fascist-state type novel set in my home town - got overwhelmed with work and could not make a go of it.

This year will be different, even if I have to resort to short stories to get to my word count.
