I'm 15, but you probably knew that since my age was one of the first things you looked at on my profile. I found out about NaNoWriMo from an eHow article entitled "How to Write a Novel". Before Nano, little me once wrote ten pages about a girl who could turn into a dog and thought it was a novella. That was about 8 years ago and I hope I have improved my writing. Last November I almost won with my first full-length book, Consciousness, which was about the American Civil War- but I added giant robots. It was steampunk, a sub genre of science fiction that features advanced technology and/or supernatural elements in Victorian times. Steampunk will always have a special place in my central processing unit *ahem* heart. But I have also gotten really into writing raygun gothic/ atompunk, which is like the 1950s on steroids. Basically remember how in the 50s, people thought we would have super advanced technology in 2000? (Still waiting for my jet pack and flying car.) Well it's like that, but the science fiction isn't too "hard" and people still say things like 'neat-o!'. Message me if you are interested in knowing more about either of these punkpunk genres. So now I'm working on a raygun gothic political satire called Citizen. This book is my LIFE. I started it in Camp Nano August 2012 and hope to finish it this November!
