This year will be my tenth official NaNoWriMo and my eleventh successful (you better believe it will be) novel-in-a-month challenge
I started out my writing life as a short story writer and my work has been published in Family Circle, The Poughkeepsie Journal, Meadowhawk Press's Touched by Wonder anthology, Flash Me Magazine, Not One of Us" Dog Versus Sandwich, Shiny, the British-Fantasy-Award-winning Murky Depths, The Dunesteef Audio Fiction Magazine, Susurrus Press's Neverlands and Otherwheres anthology, and Abyss & Apex, among others. I am a three-time ABNA semifinalist, all with NaNoWriMo-spawned books. My NaNo novel, Heart of the City also reached the Top 2 in Leisure Horror's international Fresh Blood competition.
