Author bio:

Someone first told me about NaNo in October of '06. I thought, hey, why not? I have a ton of stories running around in my head, might as well write one down. I failed miserably, didn't even get to the halfway mark before I had to give up due to this little thing called nursing school. I didn't even think about trying the next year - too many papers and projects! I graduated, got a job, and moved into my own apartment. Then October '08 came, and I suddenly remembered NaNoWriMo. I wondered how I could possibly write while working 12 hour night shifts, but there's not much to do after 11 pm, even in a major metropolitan area. So I drug out my '06 plot, dusted it off, changed the characters, and started writing. At first, I surged way ahead, then not writing on half the days started catching up with me. I lagged in week three. I began to wonder if I'd make it as I went into week four. I somehow managed to finish on Nov. 28th, two days to spare! I was hooked! Even though I didn't finish the story until that July, I knew I'd be back in November '09 with a sequel. November '10 turned it into a trilogy. November '11 officially made it a saga. November '12? Another installment in the series before moving onto another one.

I mainly write sci-fi with fantasy elements, a little romance, and a definite supernatural streak running through it. Come check my blogs on WordPress (link in the sidebar for my author blog or cssdragon.wordpress.com for stories about my universe) or find me on deviantART as SuburbanCat.

I prefer to write by the sounds of silence, and I don't mean by Simon and Garfunkle. Sometimes I do listen to a little jazz. When I'm not writing, I listen to Christian pop and rock.
