Since my dad was in the Air Force, I mostly grew up overseas. Books became, in an odd way, my closest friends--they couldn't get sent to other bases or leave or anything awful like that. I always read Fantasy and Science Fiction, and so dove right in to write it once I figured out that ordinary people wrote stories and things.
I've won the NaNo, but the book was so baaaaaad that I don't even count it, lol. Every SF/F book I've tried somehow morphs into a romance, so this time I decided that I'd start out with a romance and see if this is where my muses wish to be.
So, there you go, this year's NaNo is an adventure, and good luck and love to you on your NaNo adventure, too :)
