I discovered NaNo last year and haven't looked back. (Well I have, but that doesn't sound quite so good!) Although I am still tinkering with last year's novel and adding a second narrative I am ready and eager for the challenge to begin anew. Since last year I have discovered that my love for writing does not exceed my ability to sit for very long periods of time doing nothing, but - foolishly, and optimistically - I am hoping to change that this year. I have a group of writer friends who received my last effort eagerly and who I can rely on to poke me constantly about this one. Last year I just about walked away with my sanity in tact, but this year I have more to do, so who knows? Still, I have never walked away from a challenge. At least, not one that involved sitting on my bum all day and rewarding myself with chocolate at regular periods. Bring it on!
