Synopsis
This novel is a fictionalized exploration of the events that shaped Niccolo Machiavelli, the father of modern Political Science. We begin in media res as Machiavelli is being tortured, and then jump from time and place to look at the most important missions he has undertaken -and a few he probably didn't take in real life. Machiavelli was not a ruthless sneak. Machiavelli simply understood what people truly did as they declared something else.
