Synopsis

Dougie Jones is obsessed by two things in his life:
Waves and the music of Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys.
He has a problem, he lives in a seaside town where waves hardly ever visit and this seaside town is in England - a long way from California!
Dougie is also in something of a dispute with his parents who have decided to let out the house for the summer while they head for Italy, leaving Dougie homeless.
Dougie has always believed that the world holds more for him than his immediate surroundings but rather than just a physical holiday he starts to fantasise about what it would be like to take a trip in time...
The next morning, Dougie wakes up somewhere very different indeed.
He's in the 60s. 1960s California to be precise! This is surfer mecca!!
He heads for the beach where long boards and keg parties rule and paddles out to ride the Atlantic surf for the first time, just when his beloved sport was taking off in mainland USA.
On the beach he hears a radio, he suddenly understands what he has to do:
He has to meet Brian Wilson.

All good things come to an end and Dougie starts to realise that even though he's having the time of his life, he misses his own time too. He misses his friends, his misses all the things that make him who he is.
He discovers that it's what YOU do in YOUR LIFE that makes you a success or not. You can't live in the pst and you can't just sit about wishing and hoping that something amazing will come your way (in his case, the perfect wave) and he resolves that somehow he has to get back home...
