Took early retirement with the intention of setting up my own consultancy, but took a holiday, then another one, then another before six months had passed and then kinda lost interest in working in favour of not working. Wrote a bit, did some art, took another holiday and hey presto life goes on. Specialist knowledge in old and collectable playing cards which has led to theatre and TV loans and work - check out my website for a glimpse into the fascinating field of every kind of playing card imaginable and unimaginable. My favourite places are the Greek Islands, especially Rhodes, and western USA, especially the wacky and unreal world of Las Vegas. I love France (but not the French) though I haven't been there much recently. I was born in the Home Counties and my working life has been mostly in education but also antiques (ceramics mostly).
